UNITY OF THE HEARTMIND, INC. works with spiritual seekers, leaders, and communities to awaken the wisdom and power of the united heart and mind, bringing clarity to some of the quandaries of modern life, and compassion to those who are challenged by them. Through online and in person services and programs, Unity of the Heartmind, Inc. provides an education that deepens our relationships with each other, as well as with some of the richest spiritual resources found in daily life. These include talks, workshops, courses, coaching, meditations, videos, and blogs. Books and products, podcasts, and international travels for education and inspiration are part of the present and projected activities of this ministry as well.

Minister Biography
With a youthful nature, love for people, and contagious enthusiasm for making a difference in our world, Laura Barrett Bennett is the Founder and Executive Director of Unity of the Heartmind. Laura is a third generation Unity minister in her 42nd year of ministry. She served as Senior Minister in three Unity churches and worked as Chairperson of Biblical Studies on the faculty for the ministerial and adult education programs of Unity worldwide.
She authored the book The Language of God: Metagetics and the Bible, and writes poetry and music. She has lived in the Middle East, and travelled throughout the world giving workshops on Biblical Interpretation, World Religion, church leadership, spiritual teamwork, and personal fulfillment. Laura has also served as a monthly Minister-In Residence for Unity Ajijic in Mexico and for Unity Cetnre of Montreal, Canada. She currently lives near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas with her husband Larry and her cat, Sophia, where she enjoys walking in nature, playing the piano, gardening, visits with the grandchildren, and Zooming with friends and family.

Spiritual Coaching
Online appointments can be made with Rev. Laura for up to six spiritual coaching sessions that are anchored in compassionate conversations and contemplative techniques that access the wisdom and healing power of the heartmind. The suggested can be negotiated to best meet your needs.
Guest Speaking
Laura Barrett Bennett has spoken for ministries of different denominations and spiritual paths, social service groups, schools, and municipal organizations. She is well known throughout the global Unity movement for her dynamic and transformational messages that reach the heart, inform the mind, and uplift individuals and communities with wisdom, love, and calls to action. She is available for Sunday Services, spiritual and community gatherings, and other events of humanitarian interest. Fees are negotiated with individual organizations.

Workshops and Courses

Rev. Laura facilitates workshops and courses of transformational education and experience, spiritual healing, and leadership training based on her writings and work.
In developing her courses, she has applied universal spiritual principles as taught by the founders, writers, and teachers of the Unity and New Thought movements; insights found through modern science and the teachings of some of the world’s major religions; and the practice of interpretation found in the process of Metagetics that emerged from her own metaphysical work and life experience.
All workshops are designed to ring spiritual experience and insight into functional reality as they address the blessings and challenges of modern life. Each workshop has a Suggested Minimum Offering, or SMO, for the purpose of covering costs and supporting the work of Unity of the Heartmind, Inc. and the hosting group. Hard copy and/or electric handouts and relevant materials that are not published products are provided with each workshop.

The Language of God, Metagetics and the Bible (2 Hours/$25 SMO)
Description: This workshop is a brief introduction to the unique history, deep mystery, and timeless practicality of biblical interpretation, and to the transformational interpretive principles that can be applied to the Bible, and to life. Based on highlights from the book by the same name, it opens the door to a revolutionary approach of scriptural interpretation, and the opportunity to create a new world from an ancient text.
Metagetics: (Created from the terms metaphysics and exegesis.) A process of interpretation, primarily applied to scripture, that involves personal transformation and spiritual awakening as part of the interpretive experience. (From the Glossary of Metagetics)
The Wisdom of Applied Metagetics (2 Hours/$25 SMO)
Description: As well as providing great insight into biblical scripture, the principles of metagetics also provide a roadmap to powerful leadership and enriched living when applied to our understanding of life. Through the metagetical process, participants discover an inspired message from within themselves as it relates to their chosen topic or life-path. In addition, they learn how to make that message a living reality in who they are and what they do in their lives, their communities, and/or their world.
This workshop is for individuals and/or groups. Examples of topics for a two-hour workshop are as follows: Healing, Prosperity, Relationships, Global or Community Service, Leadership, and any others of your choice.
Experiencing the World’s Bibles (3 Hours/$35 SMO)
Using the framework of the Five Basic Spiritual Principles as taught in Unity, as well as the interpretive process of metagetics, this workshop introduces some of the world’s great scriptures and provides an experience of the cultures from which they came.
The Tree of Life: Finding Renewal through the 12 Powers (3 Hours/$35 SMO)
Perhaps no subject born from the Unity work has been written about more than the Twelve Powers. Using writings past and insights present, this workshop delves into each power center of your spiritual body, how it relates to your physical body, and how it renews and revitalizes you in being a positive contribution in your world.
